SOL Review Resources

Patriot Parents, Students, & Teachers: Our Instructional Technology Resource Teacher, Ms. Lowry, has put together a "Livebinder" of SOL Review resources. Although the End of Course SOLs are not until May, it is never too early to start preparing! These resources are also available from left under Testing Information. Do you know of a resource that should be added? Just contact Ms. Lowry at lowrytp@pwcs.edu!
Math Honor Society Inductees

On Monday, April 7, Patriot inducted its first members into the Mu Alpha Theta National Math Honor Society! Thirty-seven Patriot students met the eligibility and participation requirements for induction! Click here for more information and inductee names and picture.
Way to Go Debate Team!

Patriot debaters represented Patriot High School at the 6A Regional Debate tournament and did an OUTSTANDING job! Click here for more information and pictures.
Challenge Index Ranks Patriot in Top 1%!

Just three years after first opening its doors, Patriot ranks 9th out of all Virginia high schools according the Washington Post's Challenge Index, putting it in the top 1% of the nation! USA Science & Engineering Festival

Please come to this free event in the Washington Convention Center April 26 &  27, 9:00am-6:00am. It is the largest STEM education event in the United States. There will be over 750 booths of Professional Scientists in all fields of Science to speak to along with hands-on activities, a book fair, workshops and stage shows. Click here to find out more.
Conservation Camp for Teens

The Prince William Soil & Water Conservation District, in partnershop iwh Ducks Unlimited and the Prince William/Fairfax Farm Bureau, will sponsor two applicants to attend the Youth Conservation Camp at Virginia Tech July 13-19. If chosen, the selected students will pay only $50 for the entire week! Click here for the flyer or here for the application. Deadline to apply is April 24.
Food Drive Underway

The National Honor Society food drive is currently underway. Please bring donations of nonperishable food items to your English classes or to Ms. Scott’s class, room #1111. Dontations will be accepted through April 30. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Scott at scottbj@pwcs.edu. Thank you!
Patriot Junior/Senior Prom 2013-2014

Prom is May 17. Guest forms are required for non-Junior/Senior Patriot students. All students will need to complete the Prom contract, review the dress code, and submit completed paperwork by April 22.  Tickets go on sale April 28th.  Checks accepted through May 2.  After May 2, tickets are cash only. 
CLEW Leadership Workshop for Freshmen

CLEW is a community leardership workshop for high school freshmen to learn about social responsibility, youth entrepreneurship, and innovation. The workshop is May 17, 8:30am-3:30pm. Applications are due by April 17. Click here for more information.

The Patriot PTSA invites you to come out and join us for the upcoming Patriot Fair, Saturday, April 26, 10:00am-4:00pm. Click here for more information. This promises to be a fun-filled day! Hope to see you there!
Autism 5k Walk/Run April 26

Patriot's Interact Club is hosting the "Supporting Autism Around the World" 5K Walk/Run April 26, starting at 7:00am. Click here for the flyer. We hope to see everyone there to support this event. Click here to register.
