Social Media Safety Night

Parents and students are invited to attend Social Media Safety Night at May 28, 7:00pm, at Benton Middle School. Today's young people don't know a world without online social interaction. With 81% of Internet-using teenagers in America using social media sites and apps, the current communication norm brings with it pitfalls and even dangers. 2015 Summer Reading & Assignments

Teachers have begun compiling the summer reading & assignments for Patriot students. All students should take a look at what is posted. New assignments will be added up until June 5. If you have any questions, please contact the teacher listed.
Seniors & Patriot Google Accounts

IMPORTANT! Seniors, after graduation your Patriot Google account will be suspended as of August 1, 2015. That means you will no longer have access to your Patriot email or the files you have stored on your Patriot Google Drive after that date. Please be sure to download, forward, or share your data with your personal gmail accounts to preserve your data. Click here for more information.

Humans of Patriot Project

Patriot's Photo 2 program created a collaborative photo essay project inspired by the popular blog, Humans of New York. The purpose was to bring a stronger sense of community within the school environment where we celebrate staff, teachers and students. Click here for more information and to enjoy the photo essays.


PHS Engineering Showcase

Patriot will hold its inaugural Engineering Showcase Friday, May 22, 6:00pm-9:00pm. Please come out to see the product solutions created by the PLTW Engineering Design and Development students during their Senior Capstone course. Each group will spend 5 minutes on stage in the auditorium highlighting their project followed by a trade show style formal presentation in the Commons.
Chorus Students Performing @4410

Fine Arts New York Trip

The 2015-2016 Fine Arts trip is scheduled for December 3-5, 2015. Students and their parents interested in attending should plan to attend the Q & A session June 11, 7:00pm. Please click here for more information.
White Ribbon Winner in Art!

Give a big HOORAY for Ms. Allison Michas! Allison is this year's PWCS-Patriot High School White Ribbon recipient! Ms. Michas's work effort inside the classroom coupled with her dedication to her creative passion at home has made all hard working efforts well worth it. Ms. Michas's patterned printmaking print was chosen to represent the talent of Patriot High School and will be on display at the Kelly Leadership building for the next year.
Free Tennis Clinic May 23

Patriot High School's men's and women's tennis teams will offer a free tennis clinic to our local youth, ages 7-13, Saturday, May 23, at Patriot's tennis courts. Feel free to drop by the tennis courts anytime between 10:30-noon.

T. Clay Woods Carnival: Volunteers Needed!

Students Earn MS Industry Certification!

Congratulations to David Fuerst, Morgan Conner, Thrishna Sonnakul, and LaVonte Crockett have earned their Microsoft Office Master Industry Certification! That means they have taken and passed the 2010 Industry Exams for Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word Expert, and Excel Expert. Way to go Pioneers!
SOL Testing

Changes to Flex in May

Because of SOL testing, there will be some changes to Patriot's Flex schedule during the month of May. Those changes will be reflected in the weekly schedule posted to the top of Patriot's Web page. However, if you'd like to see the schedule for the entire month, click here.
Patriot Ranks Top on WaPo Challenge Index!

The recently released 2015 Washington Post Challenge Index ranks Patriot in the top percent for the district, the state, and even nationally out of the 22,000 high schools evaluated! In PWCS, Patriot is ranked the highest of all PWCS high schools! The Challenge Index ranks high schools in relation to the rigorous, college-level, courses students are encouraged to take.
